I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for over a year, but I never got around to it. I also didn’t get around to starting a FaceBook page, or any of the other ideas that have been floating around in my head. I’d tell myself that first I have to redo my website so that the blog “fits,” or so the website fits the blog, or something…I just knew that my website needed work, and that the way it was wasn’t what I want people to see if they link to it from a blog or FaceBook.

able to do two things at once, and getting out into my garden refreshes my soul. I have learned through the years that I am a visual learner, so I have trouble focusing on audio books, but gardening doesn’t require a lot of thought (especially when you are weeding!), so I knew that something from the book will stick with me. Anyway, what stuck with me was the thought “just do something.” I know that one thought from a whole book isn’t much, but it was the thought that I needed to hear (and I have a LOT more weeding to do!).

The actual title to the section was “Start making something”, and the main thought was that an idea isn’t worth anything by itself; it’s the action that brings worth. In their words, “Ideas are cheap and plentiful…The real question is how well you execute.”

So, here’s my first action. I’ve started my blog. There’s a lot more work to do to get everything the way I’d like them to be, but I’ve started.
